6 Things My Alaska Kids Have Said in Observing East Coast Summer

1. Upon hearing crickets: "What is that SOUND?"

2. Upon seeing pigeons: "Look Mom, a ptarmigan!"

3. Upon seeing ants: "What kind of spider is that?"

4. Upon seeing fireflies: "Those mosquitoes light up!"

5. Upon seeing sunset: "Why is it dark here?"

6. "This seems like a nice place to live but there's just one problem. IT'S SO HOT!!"

Bonus vocab questions from Isaac: "what does 'humid' mean?," and "what is 'air conditioning'?" He also called a cactus "devil's club."
